As the UX Lead and Product Owner of the VOPAK Design System, which I initiated and developed, the new Vopak CRM (Customer Relationship Management) app, became the first application based on the newly established Vopak Design System. The CRM app plays a vital role in running and growing Vopak’s business and provided a crucial project to evolve the design system from initial UI elements designed for low-code OutSystems development to advanced UI patterns and components that support the future of all apps at Vopak.
Key Achievements
- Design System Implementation: Spearheaded the development and implementation of the Vopak Design System, which set the standard for UI elements, patterns, and components across all Vopak applications.
- CRM App Development: Led the design and development of the Vopak CRM app, the first application to utilize the Vopak Design System. This app is essential for Vopak’s business operations and growth.
- User-Centered Design: Conducted interviews and onboarded key users, including Sales and CRM champions, into the design process. These users participated in design, feedback, and test sessions to iterate on and validate the CRM app’s design.
- Insight-Driven Evolution: Leveraged insights and learnings from user interactions to refine the Design System, ensuring it supported a broad range of applications within Vopak’s suite, including operational, logistics, business intelligence, and IT apps.
- Impact Across Vopak: The successful integration of the CRM app and Design System influenced the entire Vopak business, enhancing efficiency and coherence across various operational areas.
