As a UX Designer and Lead Front-End Developer, I contributed to the “Bepaal je ambitie” (Discover & Determine Your Ambition) project in collaboration with the KNVB (Royal Dutch Football Association), supported by UNIT4, a primary sponsor of national football at the time. The goal was to develop an online platform that held tools and acted as a meeting and support ground for the managing committees of amateur football clubs to help them with governing, growing and nurturing their local football clubs.

Key achievements:

  • Development of Online Platform: Designed and led the front-end development of an online platform aimed at supporting the managing committees of amateur football clubs. The platform served as a central hub for tools and resources to help clubs with governance, growth, and nurturing local talent.
  • Concept to Prototype: From initial concepts and visual mockups, I designed and prototyped comprehensive user journeys. Created a detailed style and pattern guide (Design System) to ensure a cohesive and intuitive user experience.
  • User-Centric Approach: Engaged different user groups through early usability tests and co-creation workshops. By providing access to beta versions of the platform, we gathered direct feedback and validated design decisions, leading to a user-focused product.
  • Building Community: Fostered a group of enthusiastic platform ambassadors from key users. These ambassadors actively promoted the platform, provided support, and drove engagement within amateur football clubs across the Netherlands.
  • Impact and Adoption: The close cooperation with users and stakeholders resulted in a platform that was well-received and adopted by numerous clubs, enhancing their operational effectiveness and community involvement.
